CalcPad Privacy Policy

OceanTechWorks ("the Developer") establishes this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of personal information and user data in the smartphone application "CalcPad" ("the App").

Article 1 (Information We Collect)

  1. The App primarily stores formulas, presets, settings, history, and other data necessary for app usage on the user's device.
  2. The App uses the following third-party services for analytics and service improvement:
    • Firebase Analytics (usage analytics)
    • Google AdMob (ad serving and optimization)
  3. These services may automatically collect information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, OS information, and in-app event or usage data.
  4. In normal use of the App, the Developer does not collect information that directly identifies individuals, such as name, address, or phone number.
  5. If a user contacts the Developer, the Developer may collect the email address and any other information voluntarily provided by the user.

Article 2 (Data Recipients and Management)

Data collected through Firebase Analytics and Google AdMob may be transmitted to and stored on servers operated by Google LLC or its affiliates. For details, please refer to the following:

Article 3 (Purpose of Use)

  1. To provide, maintain, and improve the App
  2. To analyze usage, improve quality, and identify issues
  3. To serve, display, measure, prevent abuse, and optimize advertisements
  4. To respond to user inquiries
  5. To address violations of the Terms of Use or unauthorized use

Article 4 (User Choices)

  1. Users may reset their advertising ID or disable personalized ads through their device settings.
    • Android: Settings > Google > Ads (or privacy-related settings)
    • iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
  2. If the user resides in the EU/EEA, the UK, or another region where applicable laws require it, the App may present consent choices related to advertising.
  3. Data stored within the App may be deleted by the user through available app operations.

Article 5 (Data Retention and Deletion)

  1. Formulas, presets, settings, and other App data are primarily stored on the user's device.
  2. If the App is uninstalled, data stored on the device may be deleted. However, this does not apply to backup files or other data exported and saved by the user outside the App.
  3. Retention periods and deletion procedures for data sent to third-party services are subject to the policies of those service providers.

Article 6 (Provision to Third Parties)

Except where required by law, the Developer does not provide personal information to third parties without the user's consent. However, third-party service providers such as Firebase Analytics and Google AdMob may process information within the scope of their services.

Article 7 (Changes to This Policy)

The Developer may revise this Policy in response to legal changes or changes to the App's features. Any revised Policy will take effect when published on this page.
