LoopLog Privacy Policy

OceanTechWorks (hereinafter referred to as “the Developer”) establishes this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of personal information and user data in the smartphone application “LoopLog” (hereinafter referred to as “the App”).

Article 1 (Information Collected)

  1. The App stores information entered by users, such as memos, images, and dates, locally on the user’s device.
  2. The App may use the device’s camera to take photos. This feature is optional and used at the user’s discretion. Captured images are stored only on the user’s device and are not automatically transmitted to the Developer’s servers or to any third-party servers.
  3. For the purpose of improving usability and delivering advertisements, the App uses the following third-party services:
    ・Google Analytics (usage analysis)
    ・Google AdMob (ad display and optimization)
  4. These services may automatically collect certain information, such as device identifiers (advertising ID), IP addresses, operating system and device model information, and in-app interaction or event data. The Developer does not collect personally identifiable information such as names, addresses, or contact details.

Article 2 (Data Transmission and Management)

Data obtained through the above third-party services is transmitted to and stored on servers operated by Google LLC and is managed in accordance with Google’s policies. For more details, please refer to the following:

Article 3 (Purpose of Use)

  1. Analysis for improving app quality and usability (feature improvements, troubleshooting, UI optimization, etc.)
  2. Advertisement delivery, display, measurement, fraud prevention, and optimization
  3. Use of the camera feature is solely for allowing users to attach photos to tasks or memos for visual record-keeping. Captured data is used only within the user’s device.

Article 4 (User Choices)

  1. Users can reset their advertising ID or disable personalized ads through their device settings.
    ・Android: Settings > Google > Ads (or Privacy)
    ・iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
  2. Camera access permissions can be granted or revoked at any time through the device’s app settings.
  3. If the user resides in regions where applicable laws apply (such as the EU/EEA), consent management dialogs (for granting or withdrawing consent) may be displayed as required.

Article 5 (Data Storage and Deletion)

  1. Data stored by the App is kept only on the user’s device. Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data.
  2. Images captured using the camera are deleted from the device when the user deletes them or uninstalls the App.
  3. Retention periods and deletion of data transmitted to third-party services are governed by the policies of each service provider.

Article 6 (Provision to Third Parties)

Except as required by law, the Developer does not provide personal information to third parties without the user’s consent. Image data captured by the camera is not shared with or transmitted to third parties.

Article 7 (Changes to This Policy)

This Privacy Policy may be revised in response to legal amendments or changes in app functionality. Any changes will take effect upon publication on this page.

Note: The App does not store user-generated content (such as memos or images) on the Developer’s servers unless explicitly uploaded by the user. Analytics and advertising-related data is processed through the third-party services listed above.
